September 2026 product updates
Collaborative Publishing
Announced on September 30, Collaborative Publishing gives podcast teams a shared working copy of an episode. You can prepare titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and other details without sending every edit straight to the live episode. At launch, Flightcast said Collaborative Publishing was available to customers on the Legend plan and above.
Explore Flightcast with your own show
We began rolling out a show-specific onboarding demo in September. When a matching YouTube channel and suitable upload are available, it generates clip previews and show-specific insights.
Free Clips for Life offer
On September 9, we launched Free Clips for Life offer pages for qualifying Basic and Pro shows. The offer included four basic clip credits each month under the qualifying subscription’s terms. Eligibility required a verified RSS feed redirection.
More resilient media processing
We added safeguards to reduce storage write pressure and improved caption retries when storage is temporarily throttled. These changes focus on helping media jobs recover from temporary limits.
Clearer streaming and ad measurement
We improved playback measurement for WebKit-based players and handling for breaks containing multiple ads. Streaming measurement also gained clearer records of eligible ad opportunities, ads served, and reach, along with more consistent event timing.
